99cent Store to 67cents

The 99c store at the corner of 5th Avenue and Warren is going the way of gentrification. Get your major steals! Up to 80%- That's 20 cents!

I was expecting to see far more $.99 stores in South Slope, guess that area has been gentrified before this map was made.

Dennis-

If you walk down fifth avenue into Windsor Terrace/ super south slope you will come accross a number of national wholesale liquidator type stores where they sell cheap clothes, bath products, etc. While they arent $.99, they are really affordable. The stores begin around 12th and continue down to about 15th...One on a side-street even sells tutus in an array of colors. I am not sure the gentrifiers/developers have hit fifth avenue yet....But they are on their way. 16th Street is loaded with new buildings going up.
